To legally work in Thailand, a foreigner must apply for a work permit from Department of Employment, as a license to perform a job allowed for foreigner in Thailand. A foreigner who is eligible to apply for a work permit must have a non-immigrant visa with required documents that have met Department of Employment's criteria.
